PeakCommerce Release 2021.10 R1

Edited

Welcome to the release notes for PeakCommerce Release 2021.10.R1. This article serves as a comprehensive compilation of all release notes pertaining to the following PeakCommerce products:

  • PeakCommerce for Zuora

Features

  1. External Payment Pages

PeakCommerce now introduces the capability to utilize e-commerce page URLs for direct payment pages. By augmenting the URL with customer information from Zuora, such as account number, zip code or CRM Id, and invoice number, users can access this link to perform actions like adding a payment method, paying an invoice, or applying payments to multiple invoices. These pages utilize Zuora’s hosted pages to securely capture information and promptly update customer accounts.

  2. Search Memory

Within the admin portal, any search settings applied to tables or lists of information will now be retained upon navigating back to the page. This functionality extends to users, segments, products, and pages, encompassing filters, number of entries displayed, and search bar entries.

  3. Split Payment Steps

PeakCommerce’s Segment Steps now offer the flexibility to create two distinct steps for Account Information (collecting Bill To and Sold To Contacts) and Payment Information (collecting credit card or bank account information). However, the original combined payment page remains available for use.

  4. Ability to Pre-populate Hosted Page Information

In instances where the split payment steps feature is utilized in e-commerce, contact information collected on the Account Information step can be leveraged to pre-populate fields like name, email, address, and phone number in the Zuora Hosted Payment Page i-frame on the secondary Payment step. Users retain the ability to overwrite these entries as needed.

  5. Audit Log for Segment and User History

Administrators now have access to logs detailing the history of changes made to users and segments within the portal. These audit logs include timestamps, actor and IP address details, modified items, types of changes, and actions taken, including before and after values.

  6. Keyboard Shortcuts

Throughout the portal, typing into the search bar and pressing enter on a keyboard now serves as a shortcut to initiate the search, eliminating the need to manually click the "search" button. In e-commerce, users can navigate fields and buttons by pressing tab and return/enter on a keyboard.

  7. Custom API Integration

A new Integrations page called Custom allows administrators to enter an endpoint and security key within the admin portal to enable custom API integration for user creation and update processes.

  8. Default Country for E-commerce Pages

On e-commerce pages, users can now select a default country for contact information, ensuring that the chosen country appears at the top of the alphabetical list and is pre-selected. This feature streamlines the user experience, particularly for pages tailored to specific customer cohorts in a particular country.

Improvements

  • More Granular Bill To and Sold To Contact Permissions: Within a Profile, additional permissions related to Bill To and Sold To contacts have been introduced, allowing for independent control over phone number and email fields. These permissions can be set to None, View, or Edit independently for enhanced customization.
